Pros and cons of Toy Bot Diaries app for iPhone and iPad

Toy Bot Diaries app good for

Im sad ! i finish my favorite game in a few hours ! So cruel ! The part one is too short !!!!
This is by far my favourite iPhone game. The innovative controls makes it apparent that this game was designed specifically for the iPhone. The sound and graphics are great, and the game play is truly unique. The goal in this scrolling game is to navigate your toy bot (hes cute and makes adorable sounds) by tilting your iPhone. To climb you tap on any metal surface to deploy your toy bots grappling hook. You can then swing back and forth by rocking your phone. To let go of your hook, tap on the screen. To retract your grappling hook you tap and hold. You can also magnetize your toy bots boots by clicking on him. There are interesting challenges such as having to deposit a coin in a slot to open a gate. To do this, you have to climb onto the coin and magnetize your boots to grab the coin, then deploy your grappling hook and retract to pull your toy bot and the coin towards the slot. Finally, demagnetize your bots boots, the coin drops into the slot and the gate opens. Kudos to the developers for such a clever game play! It is surprisingly easy to become completely immersed in this game and forget you are playing on a phone. I highly recommend this app, and at $3.99 it represents tremendous value for money.
I thought the name IUGO seemed familiar, so I looked it up. Sure enough, it is the same group that make Tiger Woods PGA Tour that I enjoyed so much on my old cell phone. These guys are professionals. I showed this game to my boys. They fought so much for the phone that we downloaded another copy onto my wifes iPhone. It is a fantastic game. Very creatively done. Well worth the money.
This game is very nicely done. I agree with the other reviewers that this is one of the best games available for the iPhone. Cant wait for Entry 2.
This new form of pay-per-play gaming could be the next big thing on the iPhone. This game delivers a fun and enjoyable experience while utilizing all of the iPhones strengths. This game is simple enough for non gamers but very addictive!
One of the best games 4 the iPhone. U need this game its a must! Download it right now!! 5/5

Some bad moments

I bought this due to the MBW recommendation. The character moves along too slowly, the controls are difficult and frustrating at times. I missed one of the items in a section, and now I cant figure out any way to go back and get it short of starting a whole new game - I can only restart at the top of this section - the item was at the end of the last section. Not as good as I was hoping...
Nice concept, great graphics but too much of a twitch game - especially when there is no way to save after completing something difficult - come on developers! The 90s are over! No reason to "die" if you cant save (actually, no reason to "die" at all or be a "punisher" game.) How about some options for a 21st century game?
The most recent upgrade will no longer work on my iPod touch. It gets to the first loading screen, and then it kicks back to my iPod main screen. I tried re-loading it, but no luck; it just wont go past the first loading screen. Any ideas?
I cant even sit down to play this game anymore. Tilting the device for movement randomly stops working and the grappling hook is often unrespinsive. If that wasnt enough I went back and started a new game and found one of the doors in the tutorial level no longer opened. Falling through the floor doesnt make for much fun either.
I bought this game because I thought it would fun. BIG MISTAKE. The game froze the first time I tried to move, and I cant get out of the first part of the test level or whatever its called. Its not my fault and I have a brand-new iPod Touch, so its not a broken accelerometer or a broken touch sensor. And no, I was playing properly, not messing up. Goodbye 4 wasted dollars.
Way too short, and gets a bit repetative. Still, an enjoyable and well made game.
